it has come to a time.. i even smirk when something bad befall him.

and the usual, "youngsters"nowadays stories were ranted by the elders..

the topic of the day is the "i" mentality of us now.

"i"
to them.. everything we do starts with "i"
friends are important
family is last
what they do must be beneficial to them etc..

At that gathering..
i really felt like telling them back..
do u all ever sit down and think that this is all your fault?!
Seriously..
How we work straightly boils down to how we are cultivated.
if we have the "i" mentality, don't our parents have it too?

If there is good food that is to be shared..
what will be on our parents mind?
"i want my child to have it"

when your child got better results that the rest
"my child is just lucky la, but he really works hard for it"

Seriously, why do we have this mentality of "i"?
Isnt it our parents motivation and teaching?
""You must work hard for your future"
"IF this job is not helping you, change it"
"This is beneficial for your studies mea? Do for what?"
"Art cant give u bread, study art for what?"

So is it our fault? OR is it theirs?
I am not being defensive about our generation.
However, times have changed. We are taught for survival.
And THEY inculcate this into our mind.

Friends are impt than family?
Is this true.
Before the old fogies say that, dont they feel ashamed?
I have frens whose Sunday are dedicated to their wonderful close-knitted family.
Y?
The family is what he/she treasure ços he/she find peace, happiness, solace in it.
if you can't provide your child that, dun expect your child to return you the same quality time u yearned for.

but nonetheless, we cant push all the blame away.
The stereotype of our generation is deeply rooted but injustically justified.

I for once, feel that the louder the elder rant..
the more it portray y their child have the "i" spirit.

I really want to blog about it but too bad I do not have pictures to justify my experience

so on this fateful day, after meeting mr. lee and gang for shopping.
we decided to go to Dempsey for our meal.
Finally..
i step foot into this atas place.

on the road up to our restaurant in our taxi,
i saw many of the restaurants that are pending in my list.
oh man.. so tempting...

make things short. mr. lee choose the barracks. which is the former DSTA or wadever army camp turned restaurant and bar.
it was a good evening and we choose to sit outdoors.
the view is not comparable to barnacles but at least there is the factor to chill our night away.
the food is ex no doubt.
but the desserts are yummy so is the pasta we had.
i must say.. dun order the menu stuffs with hearts on it.
u should order smth that is not recommended at all.

going out with mr lee and gang is like that.
we must always come with a mentality to spend.

we have came with an opened mind.
mr. lee had warned us that the service is bad (from reviews) but the food is great.
however, things turned out surprisingly different.
the service is very good.
very attentive and friendly.
they will suggest the various good food and drinks that can go along with wad we are eating.
however tho, the waiters seem to be belonging to another group of people.
they are those people whom my ex-boss will like. :p (or mr. lee current boss) hahah

something interesting to share.
on the menu.. there is an appetizer that cost 15 dollars while u wait for your food.
it is call "15-minute mobile massage - they guarantee no cold shoulders."
wheet. cater for the atas tai tai.
did i forgot to say that the hostess is damn hot too! hahahaha..

so much so for the people and environment.
i will talk about the food.
we ordered:

1) one metre long sausage (this is with a heart aka recommended or popular)
as our miss lin is a bratwurst fanatic, this is smth she defi wanted. we had all tot that we would be having bratwurst but it is not. This dish cost 25 bucks. :(

the verdict: very dry. altho it is pork. if we had chosen beef, I cannot imagine how dry it will be. Altho it is 1 metre long. it does not look appetizing. normal thin sausage. Mayb it will be good to shove it down with some beer. But well.. we are disappointed.

2) Lobster Linguine
this cost 28 dollars ( no heart)

the verdict: the best main for the night. inevitable, the best pasta I have eaten. i am not a fan of black pepper pasta but this dish is so perfect. when u eat it, you will b able to feel the different taste of the pasta symphon-ing in your mouth. It is so perfect. Flavorful, spicy yet the sweet taste of seafood is retained. Not forgetting the generous prawn bolognaise and salmon caviar. the four of us give thumbs up for this dish.

However so, when ginnie came and ordered the same dish. The cook did not do a good job. It is so spicy that the orchestra just died in your mouth. all u can remember is the spicyness. So at the end of the day.. we know.. if u wan to eat this dish at its perfect, you have to try yr luck.

3) Herb crusted Lamb Rack
this dish cost 32 bucks (no heart)

the verdict: with the pasta so yummy, we tend to forget its existence. hahaha. however so, i must comment that the meat is very soft n tender. the bad thing is.. it is not served with mint to cover the smell of the lamb. Or perhaps we are still not an expert with regards to lamb. Shrugs.

4) Truffles fries
As we are left with the dry sausage, we thought having some fries would make it better. But before the fries are here, we finished the sausage. The problem with us.. we eat too fast. This cost 9 bucks (with hearts)

the verdict: altho it is with hearts.. this taste good. it gives fries a new life. However, when it came, the amount was really little. That's wad i feel. however, we keep ourselves mindful that.. this is TRUFFLE fries.. I think that makes us a lot better. It may taste weird at first, but it grows in you. Before you know it, the dish is empty.

5) Old Fashioned American Sliders
We are damn hungry that day so when Ginnie came, we ordered this to share again while she ordered her lobster linguine. We are just "gian" of the fries. by topping up 2 more dollars we can add fries! it cost 24 (inclusive of top up) (with hearts)

the verdict: like i say.. we are interested in the fries and not the burger. the burger is okay to eat but nothing to rave about. I like the sweet potato fries included in this dish best. itself cost 6 bucks. For me, anything with sweet potato is good. hahaha.. In conclusion.. not very recommended if u want to order it for mains.

6) Triffin Punch
Alcohol - 48bucks. (after 20% discount)

the verdict: I dun drink but i like the concept. Like its name. It came in a triffin. 4 containers for 4 to drink. So each person has to pay just 12 bucks. I had a sip. SWEET. the alcohol content according to mr. lee is little. hahaha. Oh well.. its like this. wad to do. but its defi a girl's drink. haha. if u order long island. it came in china cups! :)

7) 2 desserts - strawberry short cake and mango smth pudding
As I cant find their desserts menu on the website, I cant give the definite name.
the desserts are reasonable. Less than 10 bucks and its not puny. my shortcake came in mestin. (i wonder if i spelled correctly)

the verdict: this is for me. hahaha. The non-drinker choose the desserts. I think its nice. I especially like the short cake. Cos it's warm! it makes it different. Both desserts are not too sweet and had a tinge of sourness in it. Which is good. It helps to whip up your appetite for desserts.

at the end of the day, each of us payed 50. The bill was too high that our mr. lee to pay for us all. hahah.

oh well, its a good place. but i would not want to go back to barracks as there are many more restaurant for us to explore in dempsey. However, if I am feeling rich, i will risk coming back to order the lobster linguine. haha

The place is nice. but as we stayed longer.. the quiet pub turned noisy. playing the weird music that I will never appreciate.we stayed till 12! hahaa.. and dempsey is still so vibrant.

Have been missing.
'cos I am so tired.
I've never wanted to come online.
i realize this is bad.
i feel so bored but i am just so tired to do anything exciting.
oh well, at least I got myself up and started to plan for trips, do readings, plan to sign up gym membership and also got myself a new little toy.
hopefully, my life can get better. :)

Was having alot of meeting ups with frens over the last few weekends.
and it was really enjoyable
especially for those whom I have not met for quite sometime.

altho it is not that long
but i was accused of being MIA after I work.

but anyway,
after every meeting I alwayz felt light-hearted.
It was alwayz a good meet-up.
lots of food, laughter and knowledge.

For Miss Lin's Mr. Koh, I alwayz tot that he is someone that I could learn alot from.
He is someone very different from the friends I knew.
he looks slack.
nothing spectacular.
or u can say..
very very ordinary.. (please dun kill me)
but he will be the most successful guy that I will know. (in my opinion)
i am looking forward to the day.
hahahah..
seeing my miss lin to be tai tai.
if she will not be a tai tai, Mr. Koh is still successful for being who he is. (in my opinion)
in any case, I alwayz loved to hear what he has got to say and learnt from him.

its sad to say that..
we are all growing old.

I must admit
i am a spendthrift
and i spend most of my $$ on cab

but u cant blame me.
I do not like to b late
and i do not like to rush.
so yup..
raising a hand seems like an easier soln.

I was given warning not to take cabs so frequently already.
and i am trying hard.

however,
i am beginning to irk taxi drivers.
not that every uncles and aunties are the same.
but u must agree that whenever you are in a cab
you will doubt the driver
there are far too many out there
that they want to suck yr money

Seriously.

Its very irritating.

sometimes they act blur.
sometimes they know but see u good to bully and they go their way.

I and yanyan had a good talk on our experiences with the drivers.
one word.
TERRIBLE.

I cant believe that there is a driver who can just go right into a link carpark to esplanade and force yan yan to pay the 7.50 per entry fee.
Just so yanyan says she wants him to go faster. (he wants yanyan pay that $$)
blardy hell.
and there are many many many untold stories.

What's more..
do not take a taxi when u are savvy with road.
It will irk u when u know that the driver go a long way.

there is no default rule that taxi should go the cheapest n fastest route.
But I seriously think there should be a law for that.
I mean..
this is the purpose of taxi
please correct me if it is not.
I am not paying them to give me a long ride around singapore..
Hippo bus is cheaper comparatively

on the bus back home everyday, I will alwayz have some tots that I want to blog about.
However, whenever I on my comp, the tots vanished.
how nice of them. -.-

So for today, no matter how blank my mind is, I have decided to scribble out something for my blog. Rah. I'll try my best.

I guess i will start with my job. I've been on it for like a month. Draw 2 mth salaries and had 2 appointments. It has been eventful but mundane. I will be officially briefed next Tuesday for my new position. I hoped i will have more work to do, SERIOUSLY. I can now fully understood how Mingyang feels. If you are reading this.. do not envy me. This is a torture. hahah.. Well.. but we all had to go tru this if u are in this industry. Jestin been tru it, Weisern been tru, Mingyang been tru and so is boi, now its me. -.-

After a mth.. I have learnt to zen myself. (kudos to the zen master) and reminds myself of the "big picture". The cookhouse uncle told me.. this is the job for woman. Good money, good benefits and good work (not siong la, in a sense). Well, he is true to a CERTAIN extent. This is definitely not for me, haha, if i continue to be that slack in my work..

Therefore, we have been looking at degrees/masters to take. Mingyang already applied for his masters while I and boy are still choosing. Its tough. We do not want to jump into the miserable workload again but this is our only chance. And so it seems that when next year came, our facebook and msn nicks will be about miserable school life again!! hahahaha...

It's a totally new experience. Its as tho I am serving my NS. I got to learn all the different protocol and got to see things that not anyone can see. I got to be called mdm and feel akward about it and in the end got so used to it. Just one bad thing about the job and that is I have to wake up very early.. And the temptation for me to get a car is super high. But.. i know deep dwn.. I just want convenience. Its not my needs. Haha.. and i dun want to spend 1k plus per mth for a depreciating obj. And my dear friend, MY, had stopped driving already. Its too hard to maintain ba. oh well, hope the following week will be a good one. I prayed hard. I will just enjoy my long weekend for now..

Well, all is over, I got my job and tadah! so is my blog.

It's been an eventful 8 months.
1) I was working and studying for my last semester.
2) My granny passed away
3) I graduated
4) I went on a memorable grad trip
5) I found a job

life has been relatively smooth. I hope it will get better.

Correction: it will definitely get better.

I would say this year selection is very good.
Put it bluntly, these are very good albums which I dont expect fm93.3 recommending it.

Anyway, I just hope the last nomination wins.
Tho the first two are not bad too.
but..

crazee week

It has been a rather crazy week..
for my body..

i'm still uncertain abt why am i so tired..
is it due to
1) lack of excercise and laziness
2) I'm really busy

this week was quite eventful that lead me to my deep sleep this afternoon from 1030 - 1630 after my morning class..
i practically concuss. knockout.
waking up and realizing that I've slept for so long was indeed scary.
but no matter wad..
i choose to believe that my tiredness is due to the 2nd reason
not the first!

anyway..
these are the series of events that happened:
Monday -
first day of work.. and it is quite hard for me.. as Spineili was rather busy on that day.. =.= after which i rush down to career talk. After which, back to room to study for my vocab test.. that studying part was never ending
Tuesday -
School time. start work at 4. It was tiring too but fun. boi meets me after school. rush back to room so he can gib me a mock test.. before i go on to battle. slept real late.
Wednesday -
8am starts school. and was half happy half astonished that the vocab test was only 10mins. y astonished? 'cos I've spend 1 week studying and was still unsure of alot of things.. -.- and for that 1 week.. i am testde for like 10 mins. y happy? 'cos that means little vocabs are tested. haiz.. so after school.. i rushed my meeting minutes. hoping to touch the proposal. but did not. so at 4 i went to work. came back realli late.. started working on proposal with a TIRED body. at 1157, my dearie boi came to stun me with a cake for my bday and we celebrated the big day for like 1 hr and i went back to work on my proposal. I finished the whole darn thing at 315. with a mind whirling in outer space.. at other times.. i still can compile n look tru stuff. that night was terrible.. i cant wait to press the button "save as" and close the comp.. perhaps.. it's becos seeing someone sleeping so soundly beside u wasnt realli a great motivation! hahahaha..
Thursday-
woke up real early.. like 7 plus 'cos my alarm went. With 2 lazy bugs in the bed has to set the alarm clock earlier.. i was right. the 2 lazy bugs.. was so tired that they went back to sleep for an hour like tt. woke up and rushed dwn to career fair. the rush was realli a rush.. cos you have to rush to look professional and good! crazee shit. hahaha.. the career fair drained us out.. lunch was worst.. Munchie monkey was slow and irritating. the wait realli drained us out! luckily I've had good frens accompanying for lunch. and the afternoon was well spent with boi for my bday celebration! night came back and work on german hmk till 130 plus.
Friday-
woke up early for my 8am class.. I felt TERRIBLE.. 'am so tired. when "boss" send sms abt not hving a meeting.. i decide to go back room to sleep..

yup.. 1030 - 1630
i was in a concussed mood..

hahaha..
hopefully next week will be better! HOPEFULLY..

but just sometime back
i found a nice spot
a very cool spot
in my house.
and i call it the perfect place for smoking

COOL huhz..
it is such an amazing thing that for a non-smoker i can know the basic steps of smoking. (good "educational" show in Singapore)

have been doing research for taiwan trip recently..
and it has been a torture..
research is mainly done at night
so what is good abt taiwan?
the street food
its really a torture to have my stomach growling for food after looking tru the street foods by different bloggers who had experienced it at ungodly hour..

well.. its been sometime since i blog..
decide to blog on the food i have at korea.
which is badly missed by so many of us
and the search for the taste in singapore has not been a success till now..
tho there is some restuarant that is not that bad..

oh well.. cut the stories short.

we call this the black shop. in chinese means 黑店
they are not unscrupulous k.
just that the banner is all black..
very recognisable
for us who are not good in korean..
colors is easy or us to recognise n recommend to our fren

but dearie think the piggy taste too strong
but is cheap wad..
n the auntie son's damn cute de..

if u tell the auntie u from ICU got free drinks..

after a long long time..
i and boi meet up
and finally do some serious dating
hahah..
we haben been dating properly.. right?
we do go out..
but its usually short and usually just to fill our stomach or we are on a mission to do smth.

well, enough said..
we had a wonderful time after so long together!
we had a movie, a meal we wanted to have for a long time and a nice chill out place at vivo.

i never watch school of rock but the impression of it wasnt tt good.

another thing that captivated me is that the song is based on boi's fav author murakami's book

1 month hols..
have so many things tot up and planned.
BUT
man are always ambitious..
and let time brings them down

wanted to do so many so many things
making my hols very enriched.
but i was brought down by my intern

i am still adapting to my job
a new experience i would say
and i am grateful i have it.
if not..
my December will be a waste again
if i am not wrong..
almost all my dec was squandered off
was so angry with myself for not being able to find a job
it is true after the exam,
it will be good to have a rest..
but i began to grow bored in the 2nd or 3rd week
and i feel useless
yes! the feeling is strong..
i cant stand myself doing nothing and spending my money away..
note: not my money but my parent's money

but luckily..
this dec
i got an intern
and i am able to learn

i am like a thirsty hippo
wanna suck up all the experience i can get
but i would like to say sorry to my dearest boi who is being left behind by me..
i hope it will end soon and i will get to enjoy my 2 weeks or mayb 1 week hols

I felt great minus the long working hours
i dun mind it.. but somehow thinking of the stuff i missed out..
like outings, dating and my precious D70..
i felt sad
however, i must tell myself.. it's for the beneficial of my future...
and the very fact that i decide to take it up
was largely due to the fact that i will be doing the launching..
which can allow me to gain as much exposure as possible
i am not sure how will it be like for me at the end or whether my prediction will come true..
but i felt great.
tho sometimes i am doing sai gang..
but at least in certain areas i know i have done well..

was very proud that..
with a brain that only rested 2 hours and with hours of grilling on my interview day..
my idea which i thought it up randomly was well appreciated.

well.. i got accepted a few days ago.
did not feel the highness when they call me.

i have told boi that i would wait for more calls and attend more interviews..

school has made me tired.

ended my Physics module today.
i had remembered the time when i was studying for my last semester exam..
ws had been telling me about this Einstein mod.
tempted and worried..
i have been keeping this mod in mind..
and how time flies..
i am done with this mod.
Feels good!

have remembered the jitter that i first started.
why is light so special?
why is Einstein so famous?
why we will age slower if we are moving at high velocity compared to one staying on the earth?
why there is this thing call special and general relativity?
why it doesnt make sense to me?
why i dOnt see the stunness as the rest of the class have?

so many why-s..
so many blurness..
but as the class progresses..
though not proficient in these theories..
but hey..
at least i can talk to u about these issues intelligently for 2 minutes!

that ws told me A- can easy easy get..
so i was putting all my bets on it.
but when the day come for me to take my first mid term..
i practically sweat in the cold lt.
i tot i am going to die!
hahaha..
all the concepts that the lecturer had said was so clear in the head.
but how come the qns dun make sense.
ALL I CAN say about this lecturer is..
HE IS DAMN GOOD, DAMN FARNIE and DAMN LAO JIAN

which is my all time fav since young..
perhaps it is because stars and horoscope was so closely related.
i can still remember the "wah" and "wooh" when Prof chan was talking about the stars.
and the big bang which i know had suddenly make sense to me.

after the break.. comes the worst part.
QM - Quantum Mechanics.
everybody was saying "bless you"
i really thought.. I am really in deep shit..
but somehow..
QM fascinates more than anything..
though always doze off or go stunned during the lecture..
at the end of the day..
i always feel GOOD
Good in a sense that i feel i have learnt.
and best of all..
i can talk intelligently for these topic for 2 mins [to qoute what the prof says]
and i must say..
Einstein is really not that great..
no wonder i fall asleep in "his" classs... hahaha..
and totally had no head or tail sometimes.

One thing i must say about QM is that sometimes in the lecture..
i always have this de ja vu of me when i was small.
i had alot of different reference books and encyclopedia at hm and it is always what i choose to read when i am bored (when i was small) [encyclopedia not tt often.. i choose the interesting part and skip the borings]
i love the reference books better.. where there is alot of interesting facts
and it got me so excited.. (but once again.. that was a long long time ago)
attending the QM lecture had made me feel the same way too..
i suppose this is to compensate what i have missed out during my teenage years..
hahaha

and today.. i am done with this mod..
feel relieved to a great extent..
but nontheless..
had felt quite empty somewhere in my heart
and so these 20 lectures..
is what i have learnt.
and that is all i am going to learnt for higher physics..
and so..
this concludes my mon n thurs trip to the sci..

i will miss my prof and the weird qns in test he gave me.. hahaha
i am still sore abt the trickyness!
and i will remember the time he wore 2 different color socks to teach us the EPR prob.
i will never forget this de lor!
and the weird videos and instruments he had in class to make the lesson so lively.
i think i will use QM alot from now on to ji siao boi.

to get the "BEST" service award..
many students had keep mummed about the bad experience they had.
but being a student.. enduring all these shit for so long..

1) the NUS ART's DEAN took freaking ONE WHOLE SEMESTER to make a decision on whether to approve a module mapping or not.
WOAH! one whole semester! just to tell the students yes or no.
I bet this is a tough question. One whole semester.
I am even sick of emailing my school to ask.
If the DEAN has give an answer..

this is the hectic month.
to tell the truth
i am not busy.
i am just bothered by the piles of work that is needed to be done n clear.
everyday.
non-stop.
but i slack tru these work.

but yeap..
they have seem no interest to me.
and so i was back looking at lu guang zhong mtv.
seriously,
he made me wants to go taiwan.
i am very against it initially..
dun ask me why..
but i just dun feel shiok and special going to taiwan or u can say taipei.
i am not a city person.
and this is so ironic cos i live in a city.
what's with the shopping and the expensive food.
the best deal are always hidden in the town.
the peaceful, special town.
looking at the mtv..
i really got this wild idea.
i want to shoot my own mtv.
my own grad trip mtv.
i want to go taiwan.
to places like jiu fen and hua lian.
to the places where the yuan zhu ming stays.
to the places where this part of taiwan was so influenced by the jap culture that the people, house and everything followed the japanese style.
I want to shoot the sea.
shoot the cafe in jiu fen and of course must drink la.
shoot the nice scenary and etc and etc.
i even felt like asking dear to bring guitar.
he sure will shoot me.
like i say it is a wild thought.

when my voices friends asked me to sell my viewcam..
i was actually in fact not very willing.

yesterday was a hectic day.
slept at 5 the previous night and waking up early for meeting.
the part about sleeping late is ok.
the part about having 4 hour for an interview is not.
woot.
that was really mind boggling.
will nt name the company but it is still a company that have not been launched yet.
i would say it is a startup in Singapore but the company was actually a franchised (i seriously think it is) from other country.
I saw New Zealand, Australia and Hongkong as the countries of the company having set foot in.
It didnt really matter.
it was just a small company.
With 2 boss and a receptionist.
So the interview was an one hour test of my standard with regards to marketing and strategies.
Imagine a mind that is not functioning working for a tutorial.
haha.. Mind-boggling.
In any case, the interview i had with the first boss gives me alot of insights. I was actually quite disappointed with the company as i feel that it is sort of a scam and i really do not really like to work in a "small" company. I liked to work with people, working in interesting projects and learnt lots n lots of things. The interview I had was interesting cos it WAS another testing round. Oh gwad, my mind was like, "when can this end? Why do I, a sleep-deprived person have to go through this?" Neber mind.. after soooo long.. the boss wants to test my photoshOp. hahah.. I nearly cry.. I need inspiration to do photoshop one lea. Luckily.... at a stroke of luck i saw a picture and i finished it in 15 mins. SHiok. and was satisfied. But then.. he asked me to talk to the boss.. WOoHoo.. I am struggling internally. haha.. but with my smoking skills, i think i did fine and was finally allowed to leave. Even boy was saying that his HSBC interview was easier lor.
Despite the long interview, I am still incline towards SAF yatch club job..
but they haben call me for interview yet..
was getting desperate.
not that i do not like this job scope but...
like i say.. I like projects.
another revelations i got would be, my resume is "Wowness" to small companes but in actual fact if this was presented to big companies they will surely laff their ass off.
but yup.. just lamenting.
In any case, i had a wonderful day yesterday despite the LONG day.
attended voices miniconcert.
it was wonderful i must say.
but in the aspect of a club perspective..
everything that the committee did..
had a hidden agenda.
being "old" we are also able to see who is the potential vocalist, who is the potential head for the club or emerge.
while enjoying the great music (i must say that the band is good, minus the system and some wonderful singers, i must say its woot!)
i was not back alone.
Along with dearie, there is also aq, (rich and busy) Minghwee (haha..) and (taitai) huili..
hahaha..
after the concert.. it is time for memories..
sadly to say, we are really jaded and "old"
i can feel my "oldness" in this rowdy crowd
they still have the energy to shout and cheer.

nonetheless, we still have our fair share of fun, thinking about the past. how we(my comm), started the miniconcert. (thanks to the leadership of minghweeee n qi mei mei). To speak the truth, i am very proud of it or you can say we are proud of it. Nonetheless, never forgetting how we brought the club to a new level. Stepping dwn and looking back really brings back lots of memeories.
Remembering the roles and SWEAT we had..
looking back now seem to justify everything.
The feeling is really good.

Of course.. after wonderful music..
it is time for good food.
Going back to railmall again to eat blooie cos the previous time under my persuasion we went to hooked.
that minghweeee keep thinking about the restaurant from then on.
so off we went in minghweeee car.. damn tempted to drive it.
before leaving.. minghweeee tot i got my license and almost give the go to drive. DAMN.
hahah..
in another case,
after a hard and long day..
sitting dwn with old friends and colleagues really gives me a good feeling.
a tired mind but happy soul.
what more can one asked for.
i began to wonder, will this become my life after work in the future to come?
hahaha..

I alwayz thought this was abit wild.
Nevertheless, I would very much wanted to achieve it.
I sort of had this experience while I am in US.
walking dwn 2 streets braving the storm(almost) to get my mum's a bag
or walking dwn Times Square alone at night and only able to reach hostel during midnight..

it was scary, I must admit when i remembered the streets wrongly n u feel lonely.
this is the bad thing abt solo, i must say.
but this is not the point I want to point out.
solo travelling is good!!!

you have the whole space for yrself.
i especially enjoyed the time when I was so tired that I forgo my afternoon nap bring my laptop to Starbucks to enjoy the solidarity. Just because i have the urge to be alone. Tho it was short but I enjoyed it very much. it gives u yr personal time n space to think, to ponder or to daydream.. w/0 anyone interfering u.

I very much wanted to do that in one of these days.
it's a good experience.
esp so when i got myself a D70 and a good condition digicam still.
A solo traveler i will be

today I had my first auto car lesson.
today I had my first drive on the road after so long.
and today..
I had my longest route drove on the road during lesson!

So many first..
but what is most stunning is that..
the instructor made me go such a long way.. :p
lucky i am good at recognizing the road..
so yeap..
this is the route taken:
turn out from bbdc, turn to bukit timah road, go dwn the long stretch.. go ah go.. go ah go.. I suppose there's a few turns and i landed myself at JurOng east mrt.. Stress.. neber mind.. go ah go.. go ah go.. I landed myself at tradehub 21.. (near sch le) den go ah go... I turn out and reach clementi road (which is near school.. the 151 route) and go dwn straight.. pass by ngee ah and woohoo go up a flyover and dunno why.. REach near PANJANG! stunned.. Panjang lea. haha.. luckily no more straight ahead.. made a few rounds got back bukit batok and tadah back to bbdc..

I was feeling high..

until.. Jeff told me he drove to boon lay before.. that one more power.. hahaha..
in any case, AUTO car is really so easy.. =.=
no need to ganjiong when u going to turn or slow dwn.. ROAR..
but there is really no control over the car..

in any case, i learnt two modes..
i have 2 driving skills..
i can choose..

suddenly, I have an urge to get a car.
and i hOpe its an auto.
hahah..
tho i will feel weird.

yup.. this is the words she said to me before i left the wedding banquet.
the words really hit right on!!

well, this cousin of mine..
whom i remember we played for quite some time and were rather close for a period of time until..
one day..
she made the decision to go australia..
and we never play again..

the bond we once shared..
the path that i almost took..
all seem so real to me on that fateful day..
it all came back..
with no warning at all..
hit me hard at the back of my mind while enjoying this joyous occasion.

so on that friday(last lastone),
after my work.. i went back home to nap for awhile and took a taxi to the hotel where the reception will be held.
it's a reception not a wedding dinner, i must say.
cos this is their third wedding reception!

and i must say this is a very different wedding dinner that i have been to.
i love this small gathering.
i love this cosyness.
i love the way everyone is so happy to celebrate, to reunion and to love.

the only upseting part is the taxi uncle bring us to the wrong hotel.. make me walk in my heels! @.@
but in a way.. i must thank the uncle.
he brought us to mandarin marina.. the new posh hotel.. and when we realise that we were suppose to be at mandarin oriental.. i was like.. Ahh.. that lok cock one.. abit disappointed. Seriously, the exterior is really sad and i am having high hopes that it will be at a posh hotel so u cant blame for being disappointed. BUT my perception of it changed immediately when i reached the hotel. i feel intimidated to some extent! the hotel is good in the meat but not at the shell! SUPER POSH LA.

the reception was a small affair. 10 tables. not alot. Families, relatives, friends. Parents friends and etc. we were very early for the dinner.. but we came early for a reason. The tea ceremony..

so oriental. I like..

And i can feel that he is loaded so is his gal. but yup.. there are like ppl from hk and malaysia attending the wedding. so it feels to me it is like calling their friends in asia to join. Oh yah.. the groom was an Australian-chinese. He was born in malaysia(that explains the people coming from malaysia) and after his dad past away when he was 4, his mum brought him n his bro to australia to stay. Everyone has his story. isnt it. And i cant help but respect the mum and the groom. :)

the dinner. i was seated with my cousin kids! GREAT. i have the other 2 cousin and my bro with me.. But yah.. hahaha.. the adult cousin was seated with my parents. I do not know why the arrangement.. but yah.. quite nice!

{the only bad thing is that the waitress that served our table is lousy. I am upset that such a reputable hotel will enploy such employee. but yeap.. she just suck. if i was there for a dinner.. i would surely call for the manager. i have never see such lazy shit before. so what if she is serving a table for kids. She do not have the reason or right to assume that kids dun eat and wants to clear the dish everytime or do not want to serve the kid if they are missing from their seats! even my cousin cant stand her. She is just plain lazy i must say! Is there a standard for mandarin oriental? The more i think about it.. the more angry i got!}

well, putting this aside.. yup.. the dinner! not a bad one! but i dun really like the food. mama thinks its not bad.. perhaps, that waitress made me boil! :p

at the thrid dish.. there is a video showing.. It's the video of my cousin actual wedding at australia. I got touched. I saw the happy photos. I saw the simple family gathering. I saw australia.. I cant help but feel really happy for my cousin. She is what she is today. Cos she choose her dream.

and so my uncle's speech explains my cousin's sudden disappearance.
after her A level, she got accepted by a local uni. but not to the course she wanted.
she told her dad, she wants to go australia like her sister to pursue what she likes despite her mother objection. but being the understanding father. he allows her to choose. And so she choose her path. She follows her dream. And off she went, at the age of 18 to australia. Afterwhich, she did not come back. I do not know why.. but i came to know now. She did want to come back but due to the bad market in Singapore, she had no choice but to make another choice again. To stay in Australia to work or come back struggling to find a job. She made another decision of her life again and that is to stay. And with this, she got herself a good company(i heard) and got to know her bf who is now her husband. This is her decisions that lead her to what she is today. Successful, loved, happy and fulfilled. 10 years.. that's how long my memory do not have pictures of us together. i heart her courage!

on such a joyous occasion where everyone should give her her blessing. she came to me and said a goodnight that is so sweet that i cant help but want to follow it.

i missed it once.. but i am not going to let go it this time.

I am going to follow my dream.

Beer Party @ ICU - korea updates

this is done on one friday!!
that fateful friday..
i was supposed to have a class but it was cancelled.
i should rejoice about it right..
but..
but.. my grp members decide to have a meeting!
wonderful.. so i and hohyun cant join the rest to daechoungho lake :(
but they took wonderful pictures for us and tell us their story.
but yah..
the point is i did not join their adventure.
and i did not have a meeting....

cos group leader is sick n did not tell us..
i is uber sad!
hahaha..
boi and the rest just reach the lake when i sms him that i am done!
so i and hohyun decide to explore daejeon "central" first.
(we had actually wanted to meet them in the afternoon after their lake trip to do some shopping!)
we took 513 to the station and walked around in the blazing sun..
we took shelter in underground shopping street..
but we went to the wrong one.. (the not so happening de)
that leaves us with no choice but to walk the main shopping district outdoor.
and hohyun keeps pestering me to buy sunscreen!
but yah..
he decide to get a top (aka spaghetti top) for sleeping n going out..

we walked to various shop but we cant find cheap cheap de..
i ask him to give up the idea and do online shopping
like us! bleah!
hahaha.. but at least we kill some time to wait for the others..
the bus schedule cheat on them.. and they had been waiting at that place for the bus for like 1 hr? but still no bus in sight.
the worst thing..
there is no taxi.
hahaha.. so they are stranded..
but are helped by a very kind korean who conveniently just came back from NYC
with no lang barrier.. he called two cabs for them! WHAT LUCK!

but while they are having such happening experience..
i and hohyun walked into the most amazing bakery that i have ever stepped into..
i went practically mad!

The price is reasonable.. but i wont say quite nice or cheap. but the poor guys can finally eat and rest! they are burnt and drained by the sun.. and haben really eat! it's near 3 pm when we finally sit down, enjoy aircon and laugh at the incident of what happened at the lake n (erhem* taxi! someone got touched by a taxi uncle! hahaha)

i think 6 of us bought slippers from ABC mart! it is like our world of sports! wheet! am happy that i got my DC slippers! Cost me like 20+ bucks! nothing fancy me from havannas! n my good old havannas who had companied me to travel so many countries can finally retire!

as it was really hot.. we decide to shop underground! so cool right! hahaha.. we bought alot of things! i bought a high heel! for 13 bucks nia.. and a few tops.. if i am not wrong.. but yup.. fulfilling and tired day.. gg back to school in the evening for the beer party that the welfare of ICU organize..
(i wonder when will we have such good welfare frm NUS? the party is really good!)

after dinner, we went to school. the beer party starts at 8. There are various activities. The obvious would be free flow of Hite beer! (dar dun really like! :p) there is also pikachu volleyball competition, biscuits eating competition, karaoke, cup noodle competition and watermelon competition! we are so excited sia!!!

the most awaiting competition is the watermelon competition.. the girls have been bitching abt it for very long. Since fruits is ex, we do not have the luxury to have fruits at our stay there.. so this is a very good chance for us to eat watermelon.. We girls wanted to go for it! hahaha.. lose also neber mind. at least we have fruits!

we saw the watermelons they cut.. we know how unglam we will get..
so we pushed the guys instead! bleah.

i think i am in the doldrums.
I am still spinning around outside the blackhole.
life suddenly seems bleak or uncertain.
you never know whether i will gain enough energy to get out of the blackhole or touch the event horizon and get suck in..
the latter sounds like a huge possibility as i am still clueless about where i want to go..
so by the 8th month if i am still not decided, i wonder will there be another few more months for me to spin around?

seeing the stars die and born.

these events that happened sometimes make me tempted to STAY and GO.

A wonderful and memorable night was spent at Barnacles @ Sentosa on the 27th August.
this wonderful dinner was painstakingly planned by my dearest boy who go through various forums to looked at various reviews on the different restaurant in Singapore. Barnacles. Was the chosen one. I heart it too!! :) the setting was indeed amazing and mesmerizing. I would so heart to have a cocktail party there. too bad, i do not have the cash! :p

so the day was spent on mugging.. but at night. POMF!
changed. moi, changed out my slacks and tadah.. ready to go to the mysterious restaurant. the guy decide to keep mummed and give me a surprise.. well, indeed it was a surprise. the place was way better than i imagine! *hugz*

Barnacles was the restaurant which is near to shangri-la. No.. not under Shangri-la.. near there. My boi is still a student! hahah.. oh yah.. this meal his treat! WHEETTTT! Living it up to its name, seafood is a must try! i was really busy flipping through the menu and deciding what to eat. It;s hard. Seriously. Boi ordered their recommended dish "yingyang" as appetiser while i continued to decide.. decisions decisions.. tsk tsk. Oh yah.. ying yang was one of the top ten most popular appetiser wor!

and so i finally decided my main. boy ordered a pilaf while i have a grilled meat set! whoohoo!!

next up! mine! this is a grilled set. 38 bucks. it is yummylicious and so worth. includes tenderloin, lamb, big tiger prawns, vege and potato cheese!! The potato cheese is uber nice!!! the potato was made into slices and the cheese(i suppose its cheddar) was put in between the slices. there are like 10 slices can. hahaha.. the cheese simply burst in your mouth. I so heart it. Although it cost so much. but i keep feeding boi eat. I think he eat almost half.. I was so full eating the rest. GOSH! very WORTH IT!

it was a wonderful meal. The total cost 100 bucks. There was a 50% discount on the 2nd less expensive main course due to a certain blog that dearie read. I forgot the name. IF you all want, do tell me.. i go ask him!! no dessert as it was rather disappointing. We decide to leave for a better one. I was bloated!! I so heart that restuarant! *THANKYOU*

next, we decide to go bakerzinn(did i spell it correct?! wadever la ah. :p) no choice also. there isnt any good dessert place for us to choose from at vivo! Bakerzinn is our best choice as the founder was a regconized chef. So the dessert will not go too wrong right..

ordered drinks first. pictures can be deceiving. the green stuff u see below is mint and lychee.. was refreshing at first but at the end.. i was like drinking grass. @.@ ordered a choco cake. forgot the name. It was the only very nice cake on display. while we wait for our patus(i think that's the correct word)

Decide to do at least one post now. So before I go on to the trips.. I decide to do a post about the school! The school which i studied in for 2 months. The wonderful school.. Ok.. i like the space and the scenary! The school who is so environmentally friendly.. that made me so love and hate. And thay not yaya like some ppl who even print big poster on their shuttle bus saying "XXX are fighting the climate changes" PLEASE LA. TIAM! doing such a lousy job still yaya! hurhur.. Seriously lor! I will post about the environment friendly protocol in the next post! there are too many things to blog about this school. HEE.. I am in deep shit.. dun think can finish blogging. think will feenished in decemeber if i am diligent enough. Ok.. enough of the shit..

Gyeongju trip Day 2 - 29th June

so after a good night sleep! we went down for breakfast at the hotel! for the first time, we are able to sleep good and EAT good!! wheet! buffet style breakfast! hahahah.. eat to my heart's content! the scenary is so nice. there is a lake beside the hotel. it is owned by the hotel.. feels good! but the sky is still overcast and is drizzling..

after checked out.. we went to Bomunsa temple and Seokguram Grotto! BRRR... the trip to the place was not easy.. as it was high up in the mountain.. the bus had to drive carefully.. and we were going round up to the mountain! we finally reached! gosh... saw the bad weather?! hahah freaking cold.. i had to wear another dar's top to make myself better..

the place is really nice. I must say. high up in the mountain. with peace and serenity. It makes the place very sacred which suits the temple. It is really magnificient. And after some explanations by the guide, i and boi and eban too make soe donations to the temple in hope for some blessing for our family.

after which, we saw this when we climbed down the stairs of the temple. it is said that the tiles will be used for the constrction of temple and we can write whatever we want ontop. donation is 10000 won. And so... we all wrote our names. hahaha.. see the wrong chinese word! (apparently.. all the temples had this. haha)

we saw this drinking water next! its fresh! its like those i saw from japan hour! something not to be missed! the water is really cold and refreshing!

my bearie on the bus!! as it was so cold and we were still waiting for some ppl. i decide to do some shots on my bearie.. :)

so after which.. the bus go down hill and we reached our next destination, Bulgoksa. the wind is not blowing so hard now. thank god! :) and this attaction is really beautiful i must say. (afterall.. seoul is what i have experienced so far at tt point in time)

Bulguksa is a Buddhist temple in the North Gyeongsang province in South Korea. It is home to seven National treasures of South Korea, including Dabotap and Seokgatap stone pagodas, Cheongun-gyo (Blue Cloud Bridge), and two gilt-bronze statues of Buddha. The temple is considered as a masterpiece of the golden age of Buddhist art in the Silla kingdom. It is currently the head temple of the 11th district of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism.

The Samguk Yusa records that the current temple was constructed under King Gyeongdeok in 751, begun by Prime Minister Gim Daeseong to pacify the spirits of his parents. The building was completed in 774 by the Silla royal court, after Gim's death, and given its current name Bulguksa (Temple of the Buddha Land). The temple was renovated during the Goryeo Dynasty and the early Joseon Dynasty. During the Japanese invasions between 1592 and 1598, the wooden buildings were burned to the ground. After 1604, reconstruction and expansion of Bulguksa started, followed by about 40 renovations until 1805. During the Japanese occupation of 1910-1945, the Japanese conducted a restoration, but there are no records of the work done, and known treasures disappeared during this time. After World War II and the Korean War, a partial restoration was conducted in 1966. Upon an extensive archeological investigation, major restoration was conducted between 1969 and 1973 by the order of President Park Chung Hee, bringing Bulguksa to its current form. The famous stone structures are preserved from the original Silla construction.

newae, in korea, amethyst is a popular crystal and it so happened is my birth stone. however, nothing caught my eye and it is expensive! Alex told me it is fake. oh well.. he wasnt quite sure too. but i would definitely recommend someone to buy it if they are going to korea and wanted to buy one.. cos now.. i felt so regretful of not buying my birth stone from this special country. :(

and next up.. we went for our lunch. nothing nice! 'cos it is traditional korean food. i enjoyed alot tho. a number of dishes are tasty. but yup.. it is not like bbq tt will make one go goo goo ga ga. i would conclude it as a good meal.. :p there are like more than 10 side dishes.. or 20?! see for yrself..

and afterwhich we went off to another attraction which we missed yesterday due to the rain, Samseongdae Observatory. Built in 700 A.D, it is the oldest star observatory known in East Asia. isnt it amazing?! haha.. was quite fascinated abt it.

Gyeongju trip Day 1- 28th June

it was a rainy day when we woke up for 0ur gyeonju trip. this is a trip to another ciy. Quite excited as this was a 2 day one night trip!! was excited abt wad is awaiting for us. it was raining all day long. I happily discard my jacket on the bed thinking that the rain will go after awhile.. but to my dismay(and everybody's), the rain keep on raining. And almost everyone do not have a jacket. so we were freezing all the way for the 2 days!! BBRRRR...

Gyeongju was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla. The Silla kingdom arose at the turn of the 1st millennium, and ruled most of the Korean Peninsula by the 7th century until the 9th centuries. A vast number of archaeological sites from this period remain in the city.

After 3 hours bus ride, if i din remember wrongly. we reached! and we checked into the hotel first. 5 star! woohoo.. not bad! but not tt 5 star tt we knew. oh well.. :p and after which we went for bibimbap for lunch. Eeks. not tt nice de.. disappointing.

and after lunch we went to a pottery place. wow! the master skillfully created the pottery out in front of us. the pottery were all replica of the shila dynasty pottery. Amazing!

not forgetting to let us try try! hurhur.. disaster!

and then off to the place where the pottery is heated. its manmade.. its such amazing tt we can do such stuff. the pottery is heated to 1300 degree celsius or more. the master also explained to us that the different temp and the number of days will affect the pottery and showed us example. god! amazing. and we are allowed to go into the furnace! hee.. mark was so happy that he chiong in.. went quite high. hee.. we just stood inside to take pics!

and of course.. we are doing hands on stuff.. make our own pottery with guidance from the master! so much fun!! hee.. i like the yellow apron i am wearing.. match my clothes! hee

and next on.. we went to Tumuli park, where old kings of the 1000 year old Shilla Kingdom was buried. the tomb is shaped like a dome. and is made of rocks. crashing onto ppl who wanted to go into the tomb to rob for treasures. [ohoh.. 7 ancient wonders of the world pop into my head again!]

and then we brave the rain to another attraction which is one of the prince palace.. there were alot of relics found in the pond(Anapji pond)beside us. [see pic below] it was said tt the palace was under attack and this wad wad it is left. however, when the palace was still intact, palace held all the big functions near the river and when they got drunk they just throw their stuff into the river. and yup.. some of the stuff are recovered and we are able to know their lifestyle!

and next, we went to the Gyeongju National musuem where all the relics that were found in this city. be it at the tomb or the palace.. :p there's alot of buddha statue with no nose. this is becos, it is said that if u eat the buddha's nose, you will get a son.. so yup.. u get the point. the nose is eaten by ppl who wants a son. But how to eat. grind it to powder and eat! amazing.

and next.. we went to a traditional korean house, hanok. saw how the house function. not much to see from there. it's just special. :p for yr information, this hse has been past dwn for 3 generations. if i am not wrong. this household is famous in the vicinity. :p the old uncle/granny is still living in tt house. while the sons/daughters had left for the big city.

after a long cold day.. its finally time for dinner. and i am so glad that it is steamboat. But then again.. its disappointing.. not tt nice. oh well.. but it is not tt bad! :p

so after the dinner.. we brave the coldness again to the bus who went missing for awhile.. stress.. we were so cold can.. but luckily it came.. and we were off to the hotel.. after a bath.. we all decide to chill. went to look for karaoke but didnt seem to find it. decide to chill at the lounge. have pak bing su and free cakes! am so tired after tt and we konked out! :p

one more week and my academic semester for korea would be over...
almost everyone had been blogging about their feelings about leaving this wonderful place.
so emo..
“going back" have became an unspoken taboo now..
hahaha..
It had been a good experience..
i am realli glad that I came..
I simply love it.
and Korea is nothing but GOOD!
it is not wad many ppl had think it is.
it is not expensive!!
it has darn good food!
it has good internet speed.
it has good people..
it simply has all the good things..
that makes ppl dun wan to leave..
getting emo..

and i am leaving soon and was a tad disappointed that i am not able to discover more of korea especially deajeon, this science town that I reside! hopefully.. I am able to~ :) after my busy busy week.. Sometimes.. i think taking this course in NUS is better! damn.. but nonetheless I did learn quite alot from this course and what I have learnt in NUS somehow made sense.. hahaha.. the webpages that i looked at everyday.. COmEs to live.. hahah.. Especially the designing part and sometimes how message is passed. Well, it is still not too late.. :p but i am still not going to touch computing for the rest of my life.. i am just not cut out for it! :p

yup.. leaving this aside.. I am really excited about the next few trips that I will be taking with the rest of the singaporean students! :) so on Friday, after my last lesson! (everyone has to wait for me. Sian) hahaa.. we will take the KTX to seoul and take the subway to Incheon!! and then we will spend some days there and go back to seoul~ go to another amusement park, Everland and go for other attraction tt we neber finished. :) And then back to daejeon for our schools trip to JEJU!! Excited!! mr. lee says mayb they will put in scuba diving! How exciting!~ I am waiting.. bleah~! and then.. back to daejeon maybe.. and perhaps DMZ tour if we are able to postphone our flight! and lastly.. back to singapore. :(

in any case, i am really glad that I met many new friends! who always made the day nice and special! love it!

mh msned me and showed me this..
i am realli grateful to him.
this is the promo clip for matric fair..
i saw the last emerge..
i saw the effects..
i saw what i hope to see..
i am happy.
i felt like i am back in singapore.
i actually felt very good.
or i would say motivated.
i realise..
i am revived.
i was going on with my life in korea..
and feel like life is like that..
i mean go on and on for the word survival..
survival in all aspect..
but somehow..
this is inversely proportional to the amount of food we feed to our soul..
so as i go on the daily routine..
my soul seems more empty..
but this clip revive me.
i can feel the very basic reason why i stayed on in voices and enjoyed every moment of it.
not forgetting my wonderful buds n love. =)

the new academic year begins..
i think lesser time will be spent on voices or mayb even not.
i hope the last emerge that i saw in my uni life will be better than the one we had and rocked the house down.

Seoul trip 2: Day 1

hi!! backie to post about my seoul trip 2! finally.. hopefully.. i can get on with gyeongju one! =)

so yup.. coming to this summer exchange not only do i get to come into the uni to study.. they als provide trips for the student to go and visit. so on that fateful friday.. we left for seoul. EXCITING! I am able to skip class! hoho! and we took the bus to seoul where our first stop is the COEX centre. much like the singapore suntec but way bigger for the World IT show. It is very exciting i must say as all the technology are placed right in front of you. There are many research and experiments by different students from different university. Of cuz.. ICU is not to be missed.. many graduates students suddenly disappear becos of this fair.. this is a chance for them to show off liao! and also not forgetting Kaist! Very exciting and got to know many different kind of tech available. I like! =)

we need to have a pass to go in!

i love this! this realli fascinate me! i have something similar but is to write chinese character when i was quite young. i dun like it. 'cos it don't show what i wanted.. but this is different. The green paper is really a paper.. the pen is realli a pen. U write on it.. the screen shows what u write.. DAMN tempted to buy it. it cost 90 usd. not ex for this gadget but i do not have much use for it. More for the designer! u can realli draw n den design it further with different software! April.. this may be good for u! =)

the robot with a sensor.. they can sense us.. and show "EXCUSE ME" but it realli cant stop moving.. hahaha..

One of the must see show!! it is even performed in broadway! each ticket cost like 45000 won to 60000won. wanted to catch it when i saw it in a brochure but the price keeps me from doing. the trip plan for nanta made me ever so high! =)

the show is realli awesome! we were laffing all the way.. this is basically a show where they create music by banging on the different kitchen utensils and with a story to tell. i can tell u.. if i were to go korea again with someone else.. i will watch it again! THIS IS DEFINITELY WORTH IT! love it :)

den we were off to insadong for dinner! PAID by ICU! swee! hahha..

great dinner!! and then everyone seperate on our way.. the korean students who came with us to the trip went back to daejeon.. while the ISP students decide to have fun in seoul for the weekend! the western guys decide to follow us to our hostel and see whether is there available beds for them. They did not book beforehand and came to seoul! i must say they are wu ji! hahaha.. lucky for them.. there is! all of us, including joanna's gang took the same train! as we were heading towards the same direction. our hostel n joanna's one were like one station apart only..

after the check-in and stuff.. (haiz.. still youth hostel.. must climb hill.. tired sia) we went to myeong dong to meet up with the rest to discuss tmr's plan!! We were real tired by then! hahaha.. but we met them at 11 plus. went to the ice cream shop tt we ate on our last day of seoul.. :) and discuss.. in the end.. like no result.. :p

went back to hostel and we plan further.. and we decide to go 大长今studio! =) Have a great sleep.. 'cos realli tired!!

Seoul trip2: Day 2!!

yeap! early morning! we woke up and went to paris baguette to eat breakfast.. amazingly.. i am not tt hungwee! met up with jo they all at our station and we began our 24 stops train ride! hahaa.. took us like 1 hr. on the train we saw salesman selling stuff! was quite stun by it and also pity them for the hard job.. but i must realli give credit to them as u realli need alot of motivation to stay on with the job.. *clap* and also. we met an auntie who can speak little english! she had once worked in a germany company or the country itself. she is realli nice! bought alot of army raincoat from a salesman(for her grandsons and sons etc..) and even corn.. and treated us! but i end up eating it.. cos the rest dun fancy!

yeap.. and so finally we reach the station.. but we need to take a bus.. the information we got is wrong.. the bus we are supposed to take doesnt seem to go there. and the bus that the bus uncle told us doesnt come.. damn! in the end we took a cab! hahaha.. not tt ex la! on the way we saw alot of factory outlet.. but it is so wulu~~ hahaha.. who will go and buy?!

and so we finally reached!

we walked for awhile n decide to call it a day.. went to a bar to drink.. damn nice feeling.. like my cocktail.. jieyin says they cheat our money cos there isnt any alcohol to speak off..
i finish the whole thing. its realli not tt strong. but i can feel the effect of alcohol. hahaha

realli nice chill out place! took a cab back and went to lalalaland!

Seoul trip 2: Day 3!

got a big cutlet to share with dar as we wanted to eat street food later..
walk arnd the shopping area and spotted this!
it taste like honeycomb.. but have burnt taste..oh well.. must try right!

500won! they just burnt the sugar! hahaha

walked around and will be meeting the rest to the coffee prince cafe! in the end.. the rest decide to go another place.. and we were still too tired from our previous trip and so we decide to go to the cafe where jo n eban went for lunch! got doc fish!! hahaha..
[newae.. jo n eban went ahead to the coffee prince.. they say it was realli disappointing.. oh well! i not v interested abt the cafe but more of the hse that is featured!]

the doc fish area! apparently.. we need to order something(each) to get a doc fish treatment at 3k won for 15min. it was realli a deal as it cost quite a bit to go for the incheon one.

Good DAY!

today was a good day..
i felt good.
probably becos of the wonderful day i had with dearie and the wonderful dinner!!

as Wednesday was a free day for me.. i slept tru the morn.. I initially wanted to do work.. =.= but i was too tired. but at least i did my laundry.. hahaha.. met with boi n jieyin and went back to dorm to sleep the whole afternoon again.. THAT BAD!

and so i told boi that this morning i want to go to school to study for my korean! was really happy that i am able to read korean words already!! from zero to someting! :p

so this morn.. we board the 1010 shuttle bus to school. bought 2 big packets of milk and smuggle our breakfast to the lib. I think we can eat inside.. but it is safer to be discreet!! hahaha.. The morn is pleasant. we work on our project indivdually and then went for lunch. Cram for like 2 and a half hours for korean test! hahaha.. so much fun! okie.. not tt fun. but it's like learning like a child.. it's not easy.. but it's fun! had pak bing su with dearie.. we are considering it as a treat for ourselves! it was great! n then we cont with our last lap of cramming! Jieyin came from dorm and we went to classroom. The day is realli pleasant. Slow and nice.. nothing to rush.. newae.. test was okay.. cos u just vomit out wad u memorise. This is wad it was tested:
1) consonants
2) our classmates name
3) 8 national heritage

you may think this is nothing.. like how is it useful in the future.. I would beg to defer as this is a good tactic.. SHE made ME MEMORISE all the consonants n some vowels.. so i know how to make the word out.. pronounce it and write it. ZAI! good tactic..

yup.. so after class.. slack arnd cos emma did not on her phone and then we met her for dinner. She is realli nice! We met her during our campus tour. she is our guide and later she became dearie n jieyin's grp mate. She is really cute and nice. Her english is good!! i mean the best i have known. And i realli admire her as she has toured almost all the europe countries while doing her intern in netherlands! I so wanna go europe!! *please let the oil price fall*

newae.. emma so wanted to bring us to this restaurant. italian/mexican and etc. it is sort of a fusion. It's abit ex.. but the ambience and the nice lady boss made it all worthwhile!! =) Pictures shall do the talking!! newae.. emma had been here 3 times this week. the food portion was a lil small for jieyin so she is able to sweet talk(bargain in a nice way) to get us free coffee.. IT's good. It's english cups. i felt so european! Had a wonderful chat and we took a cab back.. I realli love the place. tho is cost like 17 sing bucks for a pasta. It taste realli good!!! n the portion is okay.. the company is great! this realli marks a very nice ending for the day. =)

YUP! some ppl just don't get it..
those ppl in singapore..
ESPECIALLY SOC admin (i will leave them aside.. since i do not have anymore business with them) and those big companies..

ONE huge lesson learnt..
if the ppl dun get your complain!
SCREAM!
okie.. i shall put it nicely..
tell them all their faults and how disgusted you are with the service.
and you can see tremendous "EFFORT" in their service!
how nice..
so singapore works in a way that the if the customer dun comprain further.. u can leave the case aside.. and the second time he/she is realli mad.. good service will be given.
TMD!

but yup..
with the long email i sent to IBM.
I got what i got.
and i ish happy.
but i am not happy initially..

so this is what they will do to me.
a korean guy from IBM(i think he is in seoul)
will come down to where i am in korea to fix my laptop.
HOW happy!

Seoul trip 1: Day 3

hihi!!! as promised! DAY 3 of trip 1!
so we checked out for our hostel and embarked to the korean village which is nearby!
we went to the wrong one initially and finally made it to the place we wanted to go!
we saw lulu, a taiwanese girl whom we shared a room with at the hostel and we decide to walk around tog!! She's realli a nice gal and she has been touring around for one day.. meeting fren in the evening and she is going to live with her!!

so this is realli a nice place.
very traditional and pretty.
as usual.. lots of kids for excursion!
that's really nice!!

this is the time capsule which the seoul mayor and the ppl buried. it was to be taken out 500 years later? i forgot.. but i wont live to the age to see it. As they found many stuffs that are left behind on this site, they decide to benefit the future generation to let them know more about their country! :)

as u know.. koreans are smart ppl. their house has a heating system for the winter. this is the replica of it! hahaha.. the children are so fascinated! one even got knock on their head as he forgot there is a ceiling on top.

while we are touring around the place. a group of ppl aproach us to play skipping rope. saying this is a game they are playing and they need tourist to play with them. boi was volunteered by us. hahaha.. wanna take a pic of them.. and they invite me into the pic!

they were to jump ten times with so many ppl. but they did it. and the prize was their company soy sauce.. dear is sad.. cos it is heavy!! hahahah

yeah.. and this marks the end of the korean village. we took a train down to myeong dong.. and it ginseng chicken!! woohoo!!!!!

i tot it will be very ginseng-y. i dun like ma. but it turns out to be great. the ginseng is in the rice de.. so the soup is delicious. oh.. the rice is glutinous rice wor!! woohoo.. i am hungry le.. i am salvating now..

and then we walk arnd the shopping district. went to ice-cream creamery.. i think is the name. famous usa icecream. woot. not bad. defi better than the singapore ones..

tadah!! yum yum..

saw a man selling corn.. which i saw many ppl eating.. SO i GOT one. IT's humongous.. BUT.. it is not the juicy kind that we got in singapore. SOB.. chewy de.. hahaha.. didnt finish the whole thing. :p

walk around for a while.. and decide to grab a donut.. that we never see before. forgot the name but the mascot is a lion. see the brown donut. it is shape like the lion's mane. Not that bad, i would say. but my fav is still krispy kreme. hurhur!! oh.. DEFI than SINGAPORE's "famous" donut.. i am beginning to pai chi singapore stuff more n more.. :p

at around 4-5 like tt. we cab back to the hostel to get our luggage and then take the same cab to go to seoul station! so worth it!! hahaha.. we took muganghwa back. not ktx.. a 2 hrs ride.. we slept tru-out! woohoo..

Seoul is not tt bad la..
