camera tip for the festive season!

got this from the straits times!
i finally can explain to people why you will have blur pictures when u wanted to shot a good night pictures but cant. I very wanted to explain why. But i do not know. I just know wad to do and what to look out for. So party-goers who wanted nice pictures, here's the tip!

to get a great night picture, switch it to night mode. *i'm sure it is easy*
get a tripod if u have one to allow the camera to be stable. If not, try to find a pole or smth to lie against so as to make yrself stable. Tuck your arms to u. Breathe in. Squeeze but not press the button. Hard? u can do it. With a few practice! :)

Reason??
this is beacause the camera had to gain as much exposure(surrounding lights) from the surrounding so as to take a good picture! it's not easy, may take up to 1 min or more. But it is worth to have a great picture to keep. 
(examples: see my pic for Xmas, i have blur pictures for the bbq(cos i never hold) but not the beach, cos i have a support to take the pics! i love the beach pictures! it is the effect i want! tke note.. i took tt pic at 1am! simply love it!)

yeah.. so during the night, let yr camera absorb as much exposure as possible. It is a skill! but it is good to learn! *i'm waiting for my stand! hoho*

All i want for X'mas is...

"A quiet X'mas"

haha.. the festive season had just gone and we are going to welcome a brand new year! that's fast! This year, my x'mas was kind of different and so is my new year! :) *beams*
so yeap, we(me, boi, hl n her boi) went to Sentosa Airconed kampong huts to spend our X'mas. It is a very different X'mas! v quiet yet so fun!! We were v skeptical abt the place at first. Hl n ahlao2 had to tell me not to have high hopes! Seriously, it works for me! i love the place! hahaha.. Secluded but special! Seriously. It is quite homely and cosy tho very small. But that's the point! 'cos it is small it is cosy!!

So yeap.. i had tot we had 2 double beds! Wrong, it is just 2 double decker beds! great! @.@ hahaha! And hl had tot i had sparkles which i did not. 
Conferencing can be bad huh.. hahaha.. 

yeap, so it was a day of shopping for bbq stuff, bbq, cards and beach! quiet and fun! n we discover smokeless n odourless charcoal.. WE are smell-less at the end of the day! hahaha.. the beach is great just that the bars are close. We had fun just to lie there and enjoy the breeze. love the sea. Will give anything just to enjoy more of it!! :)

i am anguished..
by alot of things!! oh well, put tt aside.

One thing i discover recently, is how some ppl are critical of some of the good things in the world. 
i tot as the world progress ppl had a better conception of what is realli good and what is realli bad.
i am realli disappointed when i saw this comment on the papers and i was like, "what the hell are Singaporeans thinking??"

yesh, the headlines reads that Xuan Xuan, the hongkong actress had BAD English. Oh come on.. I seriously could not take this dwn. Do you know how clever this girl is? Do you know what uni she goes to? Do you know what major is she in? 
And you say her English 
is bad. For godsake! she is from hongkong. she is here for a show. She is giving u entertainment and u who sit in front of the tv commented that her English is bad. Seriously, there are many true-born breed Singaporeans who was taught ENGLISH from young got worse English than her. (i admit i am one of them!) what is the world becoming? Cant ppl be abit more appreciative of a person?

Seriously, if u think her English is bad. You should listen to the actress/singer who taught English in some of the shows from some country. For godsake, she is a graduate from her own country uni majoring English. And seriously!! PEOPLE think she is good 'cos they like them! 

i am not a fan of xuan xuan. but i admire her intelligence and charisma. She is not v pretty but she has got the brains. 
I cant understand why people are always looking for brawn then brains. 
hate those ppl! 

beauty is a depreciating asset!!! Please wake up! ROAR!

thoughts

i am in a writing mood today.. i dunno why? hee.. newae, i just finished watching the elf from channel 5. And to my surprise, i cried at the ending. I dunno why.. mayb i am feeling emo or smth. But seriously, come to think of it. How many of you out there believe in Christmas? How many believe in the spirit of Christmas? Apart from the Christians who celebrate and honour X'mas, how many of the non-Christians truly know the spirit of Xmas. The spirit of believing. The spirit of giving and sharing??! Many of us celebrate it because it is Xmas. Many of us eat turkey because ppl eat turkey during Xmas. We x'change present b'cos during Xmas ppl x'change present. Somehow, i feel that many of us are too commercialized. Or rather, we are nurtured in this way. Money, self, ego, brands, image! all rank top 5 in our most wanted list. Sometimes i wonder whether globalization or perhaps industrialization is a good thing or not.

oh well.. just a thought. :)

Looking on the bright side, Christmas is a joyous season. Everywhere around the world is all hype up with Christmas decor and people are all shopping for Christmas present! I feel that the whole city is joyful. Today, is good. I bought 2 present. :) One for hq and one for shan. I am happy with my choice! the rest is up to them!!

Another joyous thing to make! i got myself a camera stand! whee!! happy! it will b ship in on the 15th of jan! hahaha.. thanks! woot!! i is damn excited! my own stand.. i am gg to conquer the night!!! happy happy!! (Actually i do wish to own a SLR. but i think it is damn expensive and i do realli need to skills. It took me like 1.5 years to master my cam. okay, correction! to know it better. I still have more to learn from it. A SLR? i think.. maybe wait till my current one is dying! choy!! :p)

oh yeah!! I ish so excited. Big Sharon going to treat us to "kai1 gong1" dinner. That's very nice of her to remember all of us n their promise. Haha.. they going to give out the ipods they promise! Got 2 winners wor. I am a slacker. So i am just waiting for my big meal! slurps! It's like a meal not to be missed!! It's like a one in a lifetime dinner!! hurhur!! Who would want to turn down an expensive and free dinner?? And what's more, a gathering!! hoho!! it's gossip time!!! Seriously, i cant wait!

I can't believe that next week is the Xmas week and i am flying to bkk alr. People, please pray that Thailand will b in peace k. Omigwad.. i can't accept the fact that everytime i am gg overseas, smth big will happen to that country. Please b in peace. ROAR!!!!

this year seems promising. Did i break the news to you all about emerge? I think i only tell chingy! haha.. this year is exciting! we are not going to do production anymore. We are moving to another platform. Yesh! another. To where? To the nightclubs! yesh! we are going there! so u ppl can come watch our performances with a free drink. Location: haben locate it yet!! Day: dunno!

haha.. after reading the minutes of what andy sent me. I was stun! the prog team is good. This is the sort of teamwork that i like. The synergy! Gosh! Songs out. Theme out. Title out! Gimmick out! And i want to say, the prelimilary ideas are already very good. Imagine after further meetings. However, i hope they lived up to expectations. Last yr was abit cui. But i have faith in them! :) oh yes, Emerge2008: 色。情. (seperate k!) what it means. Can't tell you all yet. Wait for our publicity man! i sure is excited!

Finally, i feel the pressure. hahaha.. Anqi tell me that since we are seniors le, stress, just taiji and we will be fine. I know that silly girl. she always say like that. She always didn't! haha.. oh well, my last prdn! i must do my best!

wad is your answer on this qns? i think this is a subjective topic. Different people had different perspective. For some, money is everything while it is not for the rest.

was reading newspaper today. omg! i read a newspaper. yeap. and the headline for the papers is about the rising cost of commodities. As an econ students in jc, i know the chain of how prices are being affected. Money. Is this what we live our life for? However, think it in another way, if we dun have money.. our life will be damn different. So yar.. with all the money problems featured. I cant help but think of my own financial crisis.. taxi fare increase, cost of goods increase n this can result 
in me being v poor! but hey.. we are actually blessed with the price okay. Given the fact that we are ranked 128 in the world for our cost of living. We are actually "cheap" in a sense.. imagine the one that is 1st. do u know.. korea top japan?? hahaha.. i heard this info from the radio. gosh! and ahlao2 is gg to norway which is the 2nd in the ranking.

One room that he rent for the semester is 700 bucks per mth okay. I spend 300 bucks per mth for my room. Gosh! hahaha.. but yeah.. u get the point? we are still consider lucky..

however, it got to me that.. the next recession is coming.. how soon? no one knows. but it is definitely coming. we had taste the boom, the curve is definitely going to stop at some peak and falls. What scares me is the recession. will it come when i am out of the uni? when i am in need of a job and bam! here comes the reession. Fun hur.. master kor still says i will "wang" in 2008-9! hopefully he is true. but hey, isnt tt scary? coming out of the uni when the recession hit? okay, mayb i am a worrier but news of rising costs had been a growing concern that it is hard to ignore. ahhhh.. i still want to enjoy abit before i work.. hurhur.. oh well.. life!

since we are at this topic.. well, for those undergraduates out there? u know.. if u want to have a good life when u retire.. NOW. yesh! NOW is the time for u to plan n save for retirement. How irony can this be? okie.. i shall stop scaring myself.. i better enjoy my life as a student first before i regret when i grow up! i go see tv! hurhur!!

i must say it is realli an enjoyment to watch a fantasy film.
to b immerse in the world of creativity and magic!

probably of the plot. Which is the usual kind of fantasy.
however, i must praise the director/author for the humour that it brings.
it is really an enjoyment to relax, laugh and be magical! hahaha..

and do u know i have seen the author in person before?

'm realli angry with myself for thinking that he is just an ordinary author for sandman and did not realli pay any attention to him when he is eating in borders. GOSH! 
how could i?!?
people queue up for hours just to get his signature while i am just standing beside him and feel that he is just an ordinary author.
but i must say he is realli good!
after hearing so many reviews about him.
i decide to pick up a few of his books if i go to the lib.

the movie live it up to the fairy tales plot like story that only disney could bring up. :)
i think the most enjoyable and most impactful part is the mass singing at the park.
hahah.. i enjoyed it alot. i think that is impactful and the only magical feeling that the movie gives me.. loves the arrangement!

they have these weird looking aircon which makes me n boi think so hard what it does..
it has such a magnificent architecture that stuns you.
at the end of the day.
