crazy week..

okie.. this is about my past week..
it's been crazy but i think it is enriching..
i got a group of 24 girls fdor the beginning of the week.
It's call "Girls just wanna have fun!"
24 girls is nothing at the beginning. 'cos the first time i had 24 girls with 3 counselors.
And we all made it tru.
But this time there is 24 girls with 4 counselors and 2 CITS (counselors in training to help out for 2 days). And i tell u it is shit!

Nah.. it isnt so bad. It's just that when the girls came, the weather is super duper hot. About 110 ferenheit to 120 ferenheit. dunno got get higher not.. but it is really hot.. and we must keep reminding the girls to drink lots of water so as not to get heat stroke or faint or wadever sort. And we counselors had to do the same. Drink. I finally realise after so many years of migraines.. how i got them. i always tot my head got a big tumor(hahaha) and it will get real pain when it just dun feel right in the correct environment. But then i realise is that i cant stand hot weather and i dun drink enough. No wonder my mother keep asking me to drink water when i got headache and ask me to do these and that. hahaha.. so now here's the reason liao.. i am enlightened. But u know wad. i drank 2 and half nalgene bottles of water and it still does'nt help. it's too hot that my headache dun go. But it's not my killer migranie so i was still ok! heng ah! and yar.. so i got this group.. so cute! hahaha... got brownies and juniors.

And we got the best unit to stay and the furthest one too.. so u see.. everyday.. we have to keep the girls to drink lots of water and den we have to remind them to bring wadever they need they need before we leave the unit if not we have to bring the girls back and stuff like that which will waste time. We have to maintain the ratio of girls each counselors had. we cannot like have 12 girls with a counselors. each must have 1o. so if u have a big group. and one counselor went for break. You have a nice ratio and den a girl come up to u and say:"i forgot this.." And wad will u do? u will stress. u have to think of a solution to bring the girl with a buddy back and den also maintain the ratio.. tough job. Especially this week. Girls keep saying i forgot this and telling us they got headache. I got like 5 over complains about headaches and stomachaches. You know sometimes the girl make up stories to say they are sick and so they can go home(homesickness) but with the heat at camp. You really dunno whether to believe or not and bring them to the nurse. Tough decision and not forgetting the ratio thingy. This week i got like 10 hoesickness. serious case cry all day long. it's not just one.. it's alot. some will just cry for no reason 'cos they want the attention. Some cry 'cos they feel sick.. and i also feel like crying 'cos i really have no hands to help me. Everybody is tired. For this program, all counselors(Tigger, me, Nuts and Summer) did not have time off. The only time off is during swimming.. and sometimes during swimming some homesick girls want somebody to be with them and stuff(to make them feel that camp is not so bad after all). So after a quick shower u have to go back to them. Tell them stories and also play with them or just sit by them or swim with them. u know these sort of things.
At night.. this is terrifying.. hahaha.. not so much lar.. but they get real homesick at night and we need to do wadever we can to make them sleep. It's late nights for all counselors. and yar.. fun.. one night.. got kids come in at 4 and tell me they wet their bed. and another night.. there's storm.. sleep in bathroom. etc etc..
but the girls are real cute.. it's just that.. it's too drained for everybody.

I got a triplet. They are not my problem. just fun and noisy.. and it is them i learnt alot of stuff... They are going to Cricket's program at the end of the program and Cricket says they are the biggest problem to her 'cos they cant make them keep quiet.. and to me.. the three of them are ok. Just noisy and fun! hahaha.. so u should know how problematic the girls we have lah.. and we have to send one girl home.. 'cos she cry too hard.

oh and for this program. we have a princess day! haiwaiian night and we complete sprots badge for them.

this week i learnt .... from the kids:
-to love each other
-to defend for each other
-to care for each other
-kids are kids (you cant change them)
-single mother is not an easy job.
-a smile is important
and etc etc..

thank you kids..

well then i got to do another program.. its the same program that i do before" girl power get away" u know the make up stuff. yar.. this was not a tiring group 'cos they are better. but they are so quiet that make me abit er.. dunno wad to do. hahaha.. but on friday when they leave.. i see the fun they had.. i feel relieve. i hope they really had a good time.

yeah.. the week is over and i got to go to the movie theatre and catch a movie..
