just some random thots..
and it's LONG!
bear with it~~
well..
actually, i was watching a chinese movie la.. one night.. where i got so many stuff to study..
the show is called 《五月八月》。
was so damn freaking sad..
and it make me go into depression.. (er.. not so serious la.. but it really make me think for a few days. n was kinda sad and stuff!! )
okie.. not forgetting to mention the tears that i had shed and the tissue that i had used.
it's really saddening la~~
wad's the movie abt..
well..
it does'nt really occur to me initially.
just tot is a war movie.
but i is wrong.
IT's abt NANJING MASSACRE!
have u heard of that?
any impression??
well.. fret not..
i am here to provide info abt it..
Summary of Nanjing Massacre: December 1937 - Feburary 1938
The Nanjing Massacre, also known as "The Rape of Nanking," is a rare example of simultaneous gendercides against women and men. The Japanese army launched a massacre for six weeks. Around three hundred thousand people, mostly civilians and POWs, were brutally slaughtered. Over twenty thousand cases of rape were reported. Many of the victims were gang raped and then killed. The figure did not include those captives who were sent to army brothels (the so-called "comfort stations"). Meanwhile, approximately a quarter of a million defenseless Chinese men were rounded up as prisoners-of-war and murdered en masse, used for bayonet practice, or burned and buried alive.Numerous atrocities were committed en route to Nanjing, but they could not compare with the epic carnage and destruction the Japanese unleashed on the defenseless city after Chinese forces abandoned it to the enemy.
Okie.. after reading dun you think the people at that time are very poor thing??
many of us here,
would think that we do not have enough money to spend.
have so much stress from school..
have so much problem here and there..
but come to think of it..
we are really fortunate..
During that time.
The children became orphans. (there are a lot of orphans as a result)
no parents to protect at that point in time.
aimless.
poor.
hungry.
scared.
Wad's worse.. can u imagine the kid saw how their parents die???
show u all some pic of the massacre..
some photos may make u uncomfortable.
hee.. sorry..
i am someone not good with words.
thus, i think a picture will tell it all..
heaps of body at the Yangtze river
*Tat told me that he read before that the Yangtze river was filled with so much body that the boat cant cross at all and the Japanese had to use their oars to push the body to one side before going on!as in practically the whole river is filled with bodies! aww.. sad right*
oh yah.. at tt time. the jap soldiers also have a their little game! guess wad game they playing??
"killing competition"!!!!
fun sia~~ wad a great game to think of!
they compete among themselves on who can kill the most or rather they have a competition on the most creative way of killing???
come to think of it.
aren't we really fortunate?
can u feel the fear, the people has at that time??
well, in the movie that i saw.
i admired the mother.
She sacrificed her life to save her children.
she is a woman.
lost her husband.
aimless.
scare.
mother-in-law died.
had 2 daughters to take care of.
and everything else..
and the jap is killing people outside.
At the part, where she sacrificed her life to safe her daughter.
i am really..
*lost for words*
wad about the daughters?
one is only like 3..
she should have a good childhood..
but she had to grow up in a painful memory that her parents are dead.
the other is like 5 or 6.
she too..
should have a good childhood!
but she has to take up the role of a mother, father n elder sister to her younger sister!!
see alr..
make u feel so sad for her!
Well..
after watching this show..
its really a wake up call sia~
as in..
not to be so dependent on people!
i've got to grow up
i've got to be strong
Be ready for crisis!
And all sorts of things..
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...
I (maybe you too??) must change my mindset that i am not the most unfortunate people in the world (when i met with one la). There are more people who are in a worse situation than me at a different part of the world. My situation is not bad, it's just the way i should handle the situation. After that, i will be fine!!!
haa.. this show is good.
good documentary and stuff!! :)
